Dogumantry began in 2012 as an effort to bring pit bull awareness to the masses. Founder Joshua Reyes shocked fans as he grew his instagram following from a few hundred people to over 70,000 in just 2 years. The goal of dogumantry is to continue to spread love and smiles through Sonny Ray the dog, a vivacious pit bull who is known for his loving spirit and sun glass wearing antics. Who is Josh Reyes
Joshua Reyes was born in Pasadina Ca in 1982. After a life full of trials and tribulations, Josh rescued Sonny Ray, and in many ways Sonny Ray rescued Josh. After just 6 months, Sonny Ray was issued his service dog papers for emotional therapy. It didn't take long for Josh to realize how special his dog was, and he began sharing Sonny Ray with the world. Sonny Ray has appeared in 3 movies, has met over 100 celebrities and has made over 67,000 people smile along with him. Josh has dedicated his life to sharing in the healing of smiles and the awareness of pit bulls.
Who is Sonny Ray
Sonny Ray is a blue fawn pit bull with an unknown past before he was rescued by owner, Josh Reyes. He was found on June 10, 2010 in an abandoned house around the corner from Josh's home at the time. What we do know of Sonny Ray is that he loves long walks on the beach,wearing his shades and making people smile. He is the example of dogumantrys moto 'dogs are a reflection of their owner'. As a pit bull, Sonny Ray has battled discrimination, but by making people smile, he is helping to shed the discrimination through PAWsativity!
